Artist's Statement - "Thoughts about glass - Making something beautiful out of something flat - making something with shape, form and substance - something with a function as well as a visual joy - simple and complex at the same time - carved from ice - a timeless feeling - transparency - the glow of light emitting through the piece - it's about light, texture and the form. My pieces are Kiln Formed, fired in the kiln multiple times (sometimes up to 50 hours). It's about heat - how fast and how slow - it's about patience. My recent works are an experiment with texture and transparency."

Totems
The Eye of Magic Series is Suzanne's latest work in Kiln Formed Glass. " - The mask is a many layered concept offering philosophical and artistic translation. It is tribal, primitive, mystical and magical. It is the tribes and people of our past. The concept offers unlimited opportunity to play with the power of imagination totally liberated from the straightjacket of realism.
